Nut butters are truly amazing because they are very versatile. You can use them in sweet or savory recipes, on bread instead of margarine and animal butters, in cakes for icing or filling, on cupcakes! Almond butter specifically is a great ingredient for making vegan caramel cream like the one in the recipe of Twix Bars  or even chocolate cream filling for cookies like these Walnut chocolate cream cookies. You can also add it to your cereal bowl to make it more creamy.

400gr raw almonds



Put the almonds in your food processor with the S blade.


Start your food processor at the highest speed and scrape the sides when needed, keep on beating till you get the consistency you want. I prefer it almost liquid.


My food processor needs a brake, at the first 10 mins or so to cool down, so I stop and wait for another 10 mins. Then I beat the almonds again till they eventually turn into... butter!

Extra Tips

  • If you want to use it on bread, you can also add a little cinnamon, orange zest or honey to taste.
