During the last few weeks, I have tried different granola recipes, only to find I had to create my own, haha! I will share the best combinations with you soon, but today I have a special granola bar that will make you eat it like crazy!

My kids came one day and demanded from me to make them crunchy chocolate bars… Challenge Accepted!

These bars (or just granola in a jar) are easy to make, just 5 mins of preparation are enough and then just put them in the oven to bake.

The combination of rice crispies, cocoa and hazelnut butter is just DEVINE!

120gr oats prefer the soft ones, not the steel cut oats
80gr roasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
80gr sugarfree chocolate rice crispies
22gr dutch chocolate
100gr agave syrup or honey
60gr coconut sugar
40gr coconut oil better use refined otherwise your bars with have a subtle taste of coconut
40gr hazelnutbutter



Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.


Pour the liquids and mix well until you have an even mixture.


If you wish to make bars, use parchment paper in 2 rectangular cake baking tin and seperate the mixture evenly in the two. If you wish to make granola, spread the mixture on parchment paper on a baking tray.


Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (without air) for 30 mins for the bars or 20 mins for the granola.


Let them cool completely before cutting your bars with a knife or breaking the granola. Store them in an airtight container, otherwise they may soften.
